The California Avenue Farmer’s Market (Sundays) is one of my personal favorite’s, but Mountain View has a wide variety of produce to offer. In addition, San Francisco’s Ferry Building has a lovely market, as does many places in Southern California. The moral of the story? If you are in California, go to a Farmer’s Market.

It is best to go to a Farmer’s Market with time to spare. To taste the different kinds of fruits available and see the varieties of food. Many markets have more than just fruits and vegetables, and occasionally food stalls to enjoy breakfast or lunch.

The California Avenue Farmer’s market features dairy from St. Benoit Dairy, creamed honey, Old Creek Ranch Meat, and more. It is not just for hippies and housewives.
